AOC Melts Down After CNN Analyst Calls Ilhan Omar A Mouthpiece For Terrorists

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) came charging to the defense of fellow Squad member, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) after her colleague was condemned on CNN for inflaming sympathy toward Hamas terrorists over recent statements about Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza.

The New York Democrat screeched on X that the network should begin stifling its conservative analysts after political analyst Scott Jennings took a shot at Omar, according to the Western Journal.

“No, she’s a Democrat. They’re gonna vote for Biden,” Jennings said in response to a suggestion that Omar and fellow left-wing Democrats would sit out the 2024 presidential election. “I’m not surprised about that. I am surprised that, in the year of our Lord, 2024, there is a public relations agent for Hamas sitting in the United States Congress.” Israel is not slated to attend an upcoming summit with the terrorist group, Jennings added, because “Hamas will not provide a list of the living hostages.”

“I didn’t hear a word – a word of concern for the hostages. Ceasefires – she said – don’t happen magically. Well, you know there was a ceasefire in place on October the 6th. And who broke it on October the 7th? I cannot believe honestly what I heard out of that interview. What I want are for those hostages to come home. I want somebody – somebody out there to show just a little bit of remorse that Hamas broke the ceasefire, raped, and murdered horrifically women all kinds of people. That – that’s it. How about a little bit of concern for those folks? That’s what I’m looking for.”

That prompted a furious rebuke from AOC.

“How on earth is this kind of blatant Islamophobia so casually accepted without pushback?” she posted on X.

Her sentiment was echoed by Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who attributed Jennings’ criticism to xenophobia.

“Blatant Islamophobia has no place in our society — let alone on primetime TV,” Pressley wrote on X. “It’s dangerous, unacceptable, and cannot be normalized.”

AOC, Pressley, and other Squad members threw a fit when the U.S. House moved forward with a censure of Omar at the request of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and completing another against Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MN) over similar statements. Tlaib previously called Green’s measure “Islamophobic” as well.

The ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict has pitted progressive Democrats against President Joe Biden as he continues to seek authorization for additional funding for Israel while prodding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to do more to reduce civilian casualties and allow aid to flow into Gaza. The dissatisfaction with Biden from the left led to several embarrassing showings during recent Democratic primary elections where significant numbers of voted opted for “Uncommitted” over Biden in Minnesota, Alabama, Tennessee, and Colorado.
