6 signs you are in love with a real man, not a boy

Ladies, real men do exist – and not those poor excuses you’re used to dating either. There are fully grown-ass men in this world and they would love to be with you. To know if you are in love with a real man, here are the signs to check.

1. Real men will value you for more than your looks.

A real man isn’t going to be looking at how thin you are or how good you look on a date (even though it may be on the list of things he loves about you) – and more importantly, a real man understands that beauty will fade over the years.

No, a real man values you for who YOU are inside – your personality, your aspirations, what drives you forward…etc, etc. Boys, on the other hand, only care about how hot/cute/sexy you are.

2. A real man is honest

He doesn’t try to deceive you or hide the truth from you. He answers your questions even if they’re difficult or deep and he makes things clear to you instead of running away from confrontation or sending you mixed signals.

3. A real man will respect you.

If he shows a lack of respect for you, then he’s a boy who needs a couple of wake-up calls in order to face the fact that YOU, as a human being, deserve respect. Real men will not be intimidated by your goals; nor will they ever put you down.

A real man will not insult you. He may disagree with you, yes, but he will be respectful about it. He won’t pressure you to “take your place in the kitchen” (unless you want to – in that case, then that’s all good), he won’t yell at you for being a bitch, and he will respect whatever you want to do in life.

4. A real man knows the importance of planning for the future.

Boys know more about hitting the clubs on a weekend than what it takes to achieve what they want in life. It’s not about the age, nor is it about the achievements– it’s his state of mind and what he’s doing about it that matters.

A real man has his purpose, his passions, and thinks about how it will lead him throughout his life. They are guided by some innate drive from within. He will strive to improve himself and further his purpose in life. And if he includes you in the future, then ladies – consider yourselves very, very lucky.

5. A real man will bring out the best in you.

Boys will complain about you and tell you how you need to change. Real men will let you know if there’s something they don’t like, yes, but they’ll accept it for who you are and love you all the same. Real men will remember that they, too, aren’t perfect. Boys won’t.

On that note, a real man will bring out the kindness in you and will make you want to be the best version of yourself you would ever want to be.

6. A real man has integrity.

And while some people don’t consider this to be important, this is quite an important factor in determining whether he’s being a real man or not.

Sure, it’s true that everyone has different views on things, but a real man will know what is fundamentally right or wrong.

He obeys the law not because he HAS to, but because he knows it’s the right thing to do. He helps people because he wants to, not because he wants to be recognized as a “good person” in the eyes of others. There’s a distinction!
