While the injured received medical attention, Lopez, a father himself, comforted the undamaged youngster. Lopez viewed his actions as part of his job as a first responder, stating that any of his colleagues would have done the same. Sadly, the crash killed a mother and daughter. A 6-year-old child from one vehicle was seriously injured, while a 4-year-old daughter comforted by Lopez received minor injuries.
